These are professional quality unframed digital giclée prints on Hahnemuehle Photo Rag 308gsm

This print was hand carved and printed in Oaxaca city, Mexico in 2018. It is part of a series of prints I did whilst on residency at Convivio, an arts and events spaces in the centre of town.

When in Oaxaca I spend a lot of time out in the countryside and drawing in situ in remote landscapes. This was a lovely plant I saw in the garden of a Mezcalero in Santa Maria Sola, Close to Sola de Vega.

When carving it my landlady said she loved that I was carving a heart, but I told her it was a plant. She then laughed and said that actually it was called a heart plant sometimes too - no wonder really!
